Octavia Book Bindery (also known as Octavia & Co. Press) began humbly as a student owned publishing house, operated out of our basement in Silver Springs. In 2007, we moved the shop to the heart of the Red Mile and began offering custom book binding services. We've been there ever since, offering custom book binding to one and all at the best prices in the city.

 

In addition, Octavia Book Bindery has become known internationally for its custom book binding. We have bound special books for royalty, added to the collections of afficianados, and have made thousands of books as gifts for people all over the globe.

    University of Calgary standard colors are in stock all the time.

    We don't charge GST.

    We bind theses for the University of Lethbridge, Seattle University, and many other schools around the world.

    Please make sure to have your standards sheet on hand so we can make your book to your schools exacting specifications.

    If you're out of town, we can arrange shipping for you, or have your book couriered to your faculty advisor.

    We are a cash only business, so make sure to bring some money with you. There are ATM's available nearby if you forget.

    If you require A4 printing, make sure that the printing company you use cuts the stock down from legal sheets instead of 11x17 sheets - it'll save you a ton of money.

    We are open noon until 5pm Monday to Friday.

    Yes,we can rush your book for your, but make sure you call ahead to find out how much extra we charge on rush delivery.

    University of Calgary theses don't require printing on the front, but many other schools do. We charge extra for additional lines of type.

    Please, remember to have your short title ready for your spine. We can only accomodate 41 characters on a standard title.
